SHAH ALAM: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Thursday launched Selangor BN radio, a station based on talk radio format.

Speaking at the launch, Najib said Barisan Nasional can do a much better job administering Selangor compared to the current state government.

He said the Pakatan Rakyat state government had failed to fulfill its promises made during the general election in 2008 and called for voters to bring Barisan back to power.

"It is our intention and objective to take back Selangor.

"It is not because we want power, but because we are sure we can serve better than the (state) government today," he said in response to deejay M. Kavimani who fielded questions during a 15-minute interview.

"There are many problems in Selangor. They have cheated the people. I hate being cheated and lied to, and I'm sure it is the same for everyone," he added.

SelangorBN radio, an Internet radio, is available through its website SelangorBN.fm and through smartphone applications.

The station is a first for Barisan.

"This shows that Selangor Barisan is not static, but always thinking of the latest way to reach out to the voters," Najib said.

Using a talk radio format, SelangorBN.fm started operating on Nov 17, 2012, and features interviews with politicians and celebrities, and discussions on religion and health.
