KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun
Razak was Wednesday honoured with the "Leadership in Social Media
Engagement'" award by the Malaysia Social Media Chambers (MSMC) for
being Malaysia's No. 1 social media activist.
The award was given by its founder and president, Shahul Hameed Shaik
Dawood, and witnessed by Information, Communications and Culture
Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim at the Malaysia Social Media Week,
here.
The event, which was organised by MSMC, had attracted hundreds of
delegates from around the world as well as speakers from the country and
abroad.
Najib currently has 1.4 million likes on his Facebook account and 1.2 million followers on his Twitter account.
At the event, Najib also launched his Instagram account when he took a
photograph of the participants once he arrived at the function.
"The photo I took of you as I came onto the stage will actually be the
photo I launched my Instagram account with today," he said in his
speech.
