Najib Praises Che' Ahmad Azhar For His Beautiful Street Photography

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Wednesday praised Che' Ahmad Azhar, a Malaysian whose stunning street photography was featured in a blog by The New York Times.

"Well done!," said the prime minister on his Twitter account.

In 'Lens', which is the photography blog of The New York Times, Che' Ahmad's work, 'Walk of Life' was featured in an article entitled, 'A Street-Level View of Kuala Lumpur', written by Maggie Steber.

Che Ahmad, 49, a former advertising director and landscape photographer, is known to prowl Petaling Street in Chinatown, Leboh Ampang in Little India and Pudu, a Chinese enclave, in his quest for beautiful shots.

In courting the people who live there, he has grown into a seasoned street photographer who can make sense of crazy cityscape and vivid lives.

'Lens' presents the finest and most interesting visual and multimedia reporting - photographs, videos and slide shows.

A showcase for The New York Times photographers, it also seeks to highlight the best work of other newspapers, magazines and news and picture agencies; in print, books, galleries, museums and on the Web.
