KUALA LUMPUR -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has reminded
the public to keep up-to-date and be wary of the latest cyber scams.
His tweet also attached a link to an article published by Bernama with the heading 'Look out for cyber cheats'.
The report said cyber crimes such as cheating using the identity of a bank via e-mail and SMS can be avoided if the people are more careful when using technology.
Association of Banks Malaysia (ABM) assistant general manager Joanne Wong said such cases occur when the swindler sends e-mail, SMS or make a telephone call to obtain personal details such as credit card details, password and transaction authorisation code (TAC) from victims by posing as a bank representative. -- BERNAMA
