KUALA LUMPUR -- Despite
having a hectic day, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak did not forget to thank
his mother, Tun Rahah Mohamad Noah, as well as family members for their
support to him.
"Thank you, mother, Tun Rahah Mohd Noah and family members for the
support that is inspiring to me," said the prime minister in his Twitter
message.
In the message, Najib also shared a picture of him with his mother,
wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, as well as children, Nooryana Najwa and
Norashman Razak.
Also seen in the picture taken when they were heading to the
nomination centre at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Convention Hall in
Pekan, Pahang this morning were Najib's brothers, Datuk Seri Nazir Razak
and Datuk Mohamed Nazim Razak.
In another Twitter, Najib also put up a picture showing him with his
challenger, Fariz Musa, from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), using a mobile
phone.
He also texted on the picture: "In rivalry, there is friendship and civility. May our journey these next few weeks be smooth."
In an earlier tweet, Najib said: "I will defend the Pekan
parliamentary seat. Insya Allah (God-willing), I will continue to serve
well."
While he was visiting the polling centres for the Peramu Jaya and
Pulau Manis state seats located under the Pekan parliamentary
constituency after his nomination process was over, Najib tweeted gain:
"Alhamdulillah (All praise be to Allah), election preparation is going
on smoothly."
The prime minister said later: "Will be attending a dinner, together
with the people of Klang.
Welcome the change of pace after visiting many
ballot stations today."
Najib, who is also Barisan Nasional chairman, will be defending the Pekan parliamentary seat he held since 1976.
