Help local artistes own homes with flexible loan facilities, says Najib

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak wants a non-conventional end financing model to be developed for local artistes and those in the creative industry.

By coming up with this model, Najib said artistes or those in the creative industry without stable income nor pay-slips, would still be able to own an affordable home of their own.

"PR1MA chief executive officer (CEO) must do a study on the non-conventional end financing scheme so that our local artistes and those in the creative industry will be able to own a property," he said after meeting the creative and arts industry community at his official residence, Seri Perdana, here.

At the same time, Najib also extends the 1Malaysia privilege card to registered local artistes and those in the creative industry.

There is a total of more than 100,000 registered artistes and those related in the production industry.
