About 450 pupils received the tasty meals packs and learnt from the talks on the importance of good nutrition, which also taught them how to make healthy meal choices for optimal physical and mental growth.
The pupils were also encouraged to drink one to three glasses of milk or other dairy products every day as part of a healthy, balanced diet.
Kuntum magazines were distributed to the schoolchildren.
Dutch Lady brand manager and nutritionist Quah Ye Vian said, the programme was part of the Back to School campaign with the objective of heightening Malaysian students' awareness of the importance of healthy eating habits.
"We have been distributing milk to schools under Program Susu Sekolah 1Malaysia (PS1M) since 2010. We have also been educating the students on the importance of milk and good nutrition.
"Based on a recent survey conducted, only 71 per cent of students in the morning session ate breakfast before going to school.
"The survey also showed that 84 per cent of students purchased their meals from the canteens. It is therefore important that they are taught what is a balanced meal," Quah said. Quah said children who took breakfast were more active and able to concentrate on their studies, compared with those who did not.
The programme included a question-and-answer session with emphasis on milk as an essential food source on the food pyramid.
The pupils were also taught how to prepare easy, balanced meals at home.
