Najib: Reject leaders with low "akhlak"

ALOR STAR- Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the people should reject leaders who break laws blatantly.

The prime minister said the people should also reject those who advocate violence and aggression to achieve their political objectives.

"It is all about 'akhlak' (morality).

"We can differ in opinions and back different political parties, but we should never compromise high moral values for political expediency," he said after opening the RM13.2 million Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Awana here today.

Najib, who is also Barisan Nasional chairman, said the opposition had a knack for resorting to violence and aggression.

"This is clearly evident from the three Bersih rallies that they had organised.

"The opposition promotes the destruction of public properties, causing harm to others...basically breaking the laws.

"What good have the rallies brought to the people and country?" he said to a thunderous applause from some 3,000 people who had attended the event.
