KUCHING (April 27, 2013): Prime Minister Datuk Seri
Najib Abdul Razak today advised the people to make a wise evaluation
between the transformation brought about by the government and the
reformation propagated by the Opposition.
Over the past four years, the Barisan Nasional (BN) government had
persistently brought about a comprehensive transformation in the
government, economic, political and social spheres, he said when
addressing about 6,000 people at the Kampung Semeba community hall in
Jalan Stephen Yong, here.
Najib said transformation was better than reformation because the
former would make Malaysia a developed nation by 2020 while the latter
did not have a clear objective and was confined to making one individual
the prime minister, even if the people had to be dragged into street
demonstrations.
"Transformation does not stand for huge numbers alone. I do not want
anyone to say that he or she did not benefit from the government
transformation. It is for this reason that from the outset, it had been
determined that transformation must have an impact on and benefit the
ordinary people.
"When we talk of transformation, it is the generation of national wealth for the people's benefit," he said.
