KOTA BELUD: Bad weather kept Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak from addressing the crowd here. So, he did the next best thing he spoke to them by telephone from Papar.
The
Barisan Nasional chairman was supposed to visit the Kota Belud
parliamentary constituency as part of his stopover during his two-day
visit to Sabah but nature had other plans yesterday.
Najib, who
was in Papar earlier, could not make the trip because of bad weather and
the helicopter ferrying him could not take off.
Instead, he addressed the crowd via telephone after Kota Belud incumbent Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan called him.
“I am so sorry that I could not be there because the weather was so bad that the helicopter just could not take off.
“I was eager to meet with all of you in Kota Belud, which is a Barisan stronghold,” he said as the crowd cheered.
